Job summary

Our client in Exeter seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead high-value capital programmes from inception to completion. You’ll own strategic direction, drive pre-construction and manage multi-disciplinary teams, while ensuring delivery on time, budget and regulatory objectives.

In this permanent role you’ll apply NEC contract governance, oversight of investment portfolios and stakeholder relationships at senior levels, mentoring teams and shaping delivery strategy across major infrastructure

The Senior Project Manager will lead high-value capital programmes from inception through to completion, operating from our Exeter base.

This permanent position offers a salary between £70,000 and £80,000, supplemented by an excellent benefits package.

Suitable candidates will possess a strong background within a main contractor or tier-one environment, having since progressed into consultancy or client-side leadership.

You will take ownership of complex infrastructure schemes, guiding strategic direction while managing pre-construction phases.

Proven ability to direct high-performing teams and deliver significant investment portfolios is essential.

This opportunity is particularly suited to an individual who has built their expertise within a main contractor or tier-one contracting environment before moving into consultancy, programme management or client-side leadership roles.

The Role

You'll lead the delivery of major capital projects and programmes, providing strategic direction, commercial leadership and stakeholder management at the highest levels.

Working across multidisciplinary teams and supply chain partners, you'll be accountable for ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with demanding regulatory and organisational objectives.
