SNC Mission Systems UK in St Athan is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead planning, execution and delivery of complex projects that align with customer requirements and business objectives. You will coordinate bids, manage schedules, budgets and resources, and build strong relationships with customers, partners and internal teams.
You will mentor junior project managers and drive improvements in project management processes, while ensuring compliance with industry standards and governance.

Coordinating the bid submission, ensuring inputs, approvals, schedules, assumptions and customer requirements are managed effectively.
Developing and maintaining comprehensive project plans covering scope, schedule, budget, resources, risk management and communications.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, partners, suppliers and internal teams, acting as a primary programme point of contact through bid, award and delivery.
No two days will be the same as you identify, assess and mitigate risks across bid, prototype and delivery phases, proactively managing impacts to cost, schedule, quality and current commitments.
Coordinate cross-functional teams supporting prototype development and technical solution planning to ensure outputs support customer requirements and contract award.
Drive improvements in project management processes, applying best practice to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Manage project scope changes, ensuring timely communication, approval and implementation of agreed adjustments.
Ensure projects comply with relevant industry standards, regulations and customer requirements.
Establish and maintain robust project governance, delivery plans, reporting cadence and controls, providing clear updates on progress, risks, assumptions, financials and resource requirements to senior leadership.
Mentor and support junior project managers, fostering professional development and knowledge sharing.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
8+ years of project management experience with a proven track record leading complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
APM PMQ
Demonstrated success managing budgets, schedules and resources for large-scale projects.
Advanced understanding of project management frameworks including Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid approaches.
Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
PMP, PRINCE2 or Agile project management certification.
Extensive experience within Defence, aerospace or engineering sectors.
