Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation Mission Systems UK in St Athans seeks a CAD Engineer to join our manufacturing and product design team. You will manage design, development and modification of technical drawings and 3D models using CAD software, contributing to high‑integrity mission systems for UK government clients.

Key tasks include creating 2D/3D drawings, estimating budgets and timelines, establishing CAD quality standards and improving product designs to boost production output.

Qualifications

• To qualify for the role, it is essential that you are Level 3 CAD qualified or degree qualified in mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering.
• Experienced working as CAD Engineer with sound knowledge of CAD software
• Knowledgeable in two and three-dimensional designs & drawings

Responsibilities

We are looking for a CAD Engineer to join us at SNC Mission Systems UK in St Athans. We providetailored mission systems integration and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) solutions for the UK Government and its allies.

It's an exciting time to join us as a CAD Engineer as we are expanding our operations. You'll play a key role in supporting manufacturing and product design by managing the design, development, and modification of technical drawings and 3D models using computer-aided design software.

• Industry experience and understanding of machining, CNC and welding
• Hands‑on experience with measurement tools
• Experience working within the thermal plastic fabrication industry
