Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Head of Projects to lead multiple construction-site project teams, ensuring delivery within safety, quality and budget targets. You will drive strategic operations, manage budgets, and mentor a programme of project managers while engaging clients and stakeholders.

The role requires extensive experience in fire safety design, compliance with BS standards, and strong leadership capabilities to grow the business and protect margins.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence.
• M&E Project Leadership Contractual Awareness.
• Experience in fire compliance or fire detection design.
• Knowledge of BS5839, BS7671, FIA standards, and BAFE schemes.
• Experience in fire alarm system installation and commissioning.
• Excellent communication and training delivery skills.
• Proven ability to manage change and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the project team across multiple sites.
• Ensure compliance with British Standards and maintain an EHS culture.
• Drive growth, protect margin, and collaborate with sales to win bids.
• Develop operational strategies and oversee timely, on-budget delivery.
• Manage day-to-day operations, resources, and subcontractor performance.
• Monitor budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Mentor project managers and develop staff.
• Engage clients, suppliers, and regulators; represent Johnson Controls.
