Senior Project Director - Hyperscale Data Centres, Nordics

Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead one of our largest data centre construction projects in the Nordics. The role is based in the UK with potential significant international travel (11/3 rotation) and may be 100% in-country.

You will oversee pre-construction, construction, and close-out activities, ensuring schedule, cost, and safety targets are met while coordinating multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Understanding of large-scale technical projects and construction techniques.
• Contractual and commercial understanding of multiple forms of contract.
• Track record in delivery of large critical infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of HSE in construction.
• Ability to manage technical disciplines.
• Experience of a client interface role.
• Experience managing a large scale team.
• Experience on data centre builds or refurbishments preferred.
• Ability to coordinate Owner’s Representatives to achieve client objectives.
• Ability to commit to significant international travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead all stages of hyperscale data centre construction projects from pre-construction to close out/fit-up.
• Coordinate Master Project Schedule and Budget with client and general contractor.
• Procure and manage contractor designed elements and perform constructability reviews.
• Support permits, pre-qualification, bids, negotiations, and vendor scheduling.
• Develop IMS and ensure on-time delivery and budget adherence.
• Provide contractual support and manage project controls and QCx teams.
• Oversee health, safety and sustainability culture across the project.
• Interface with Client’s commercial and PCG teams for budgeting and schedule monitoring.
