Job summary

SGN is seeking a highly skilled Senior Programme Manager to lead complex, multi-workstream change programmes. The role covers end-to-end delivery from business case through to benefits realisation, with responsibility for budgets, risks and stakeholder engagement.

This position is hybrid with travel to SGN offices across the UK, including Scotland, England, and Glasgow/Edinburgh. You will work with operational leaders to design, plan and deliver transformative programmes aligned with SGN’s goals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading complex business change programmes.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and multi-workstreams.
• Knowledge of MSP, APM/PMBOK, and Agile Programme Management.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and decision-making abilities.
• Experience in Utilities sector bonus.

Responsibilities

• Full lifecycle ownership of medium-to-large programmes.
• Develop plans: scope, timeline, budget, resources.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams for delivery across workstreams.
• Monitor milestones, risks, issues; implement corrective actions.
• Engage stakeholders with regular updates to sponsors.
• Define programme governance aligned to portfolio.
• Ensure governance and reporting standards compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement and support change management.
