IONATE is seeking a Senior Production Test Engineer to lead the production-test capability for the Hybrid Intelligent Transformer initiative in London and with external partners. You will own the test strategy, methods, equipment, software, safety controls and documentation, while hands-on solving issues on high‑energy hardware.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality to ensure safe, repeatable production transfer and scalable test processes for future high‑volume needs.

Formación

• Hands-on test work experience in production environments.
• Experience developing, commissioning or supporting production tests for electromechanical hardware.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, waveforms and logs.
• Experience integrating test equipment and data acquisition systems.

Responsabilidades

• Create the production-test strategy and translate requirements into coverage and records.
• Work on early units with engineering for setup, tests and diagnosis.
• Design and commission test systems including fixtures, instrumentation and software interfaces.
• Define safe test methods for high-energy equipment and establish operator competence.
• Automate test execution and data capture with traceable serial-number records.
• Support fault diagnosis and corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
• Manage test configuration, calibration and change control across builds.
• Aim to optimise test performance, yield and throughput as demand grows.
• Transfer test capability to contract manufacturers with scalable documentation.
