Job summary

IONATE in London is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to move the HIT product from engineering builds into repeatable, safe manufacture at our London facility and with contract partners.

You will develop processes, tooling, and shop-floor documentation, working with Engineering, Industrialisation and Production teams to resolve issues at the point of use and drive manufacturability improvements across low-volume production.

Qualifications

• Hands-on manufacturing/engineering experience in electromechanical environments.
• Ability to read drawings and develop build instructions and BOMs.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, factory-floor mindset.

Responsibilities

• Carry out hands-on build support in the shop floor.
• Develop and improve manufacturing routes, sequences, and work instructions.
• Create and maintain BOMs, routings, and process specifications.
• Implement tooling, fixtures, and line-side equipment to enable repeatable low-volume production.
• Support process validation and drive improvement using build data.
