Job summary

IONATE is a deep tech scale-up building the hardware and software backbone for smart grids. We are seeking a Power Electronics Engineer to develop, design, implement and test electronics for grid-connected inverter systems and HIT technology.

You will contribute to live projects, perform analyses, design reviews, simulations and validation with a multi-disciplinary team. You will work on high-power converters, PCB design, and documentation while ensuring safety and standards compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical and Electronics engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in electronics design, ideally in high power applications.
• Good understanding of electronic components and their principles.
• Know-how in signal processing and passive/active filter designs.
• Experience circuit modelling and simulation.
• Experience using SPICE, Altium, MATLAB.
• Experience testing with oscilloscopes, power supplies, load banks.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development of high-power converters and controllers for grid-connected applications.
• Design, simulate, implement, test, verify and troubleshoot electronics hardware and PCB assemblies.
• Develop high-reliability PCB assemblies for high-volume production.
• Support build and test efforts including electrical panels and wiring looms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the globe on multi-disciplinary projects.
• Perform hardware design validation respecting safety and international standards.
