Job summary

Just Eat Takeaway.com is seeking a senior leader to own the recommendations product, including home page ranking and personalised suggestions. You will partner with data science and engineering to translate ML capabilities into strong product outcomes, drive experimentation, and align stakeholders across product, engineering, and commercial.

This pivotal role focuses on delivering customer value through scalable ranking systems, KPI ownership, and rigorous testing.

Qualifications

• Extensive, data-driven product experience in ranking/recommendations for high-traffic consumer products.
• Strong fluency in ML-driven product development and measurement.
• Proven experimentation and measurement framework leadership.
• Ability to influence across engineering, analytics, and commercial teams.
• Track record turning ambiguous problems into clear product strategy with rigor.
• Experience mentoring and elevating product thinking in agile/data science teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and own long-term product vision and multi-horizon roadmap for recommendations.
• Analyze user behavior at scale; identify improvement opportunities via quantitative and qualitative methods.
• Partner with data science and engineering leadership to shape algorithmic approaches.
• Lead and scale product discovery; set standards for user research and opportunity sizing.
• Own KPI framework for recommendations; set north star metrics and targets.
• Design and govern A/B testing strategy; apply learnings across the portfolio.
• Drive prioritisation and investments across a complex backlog with senior leadership alignment.
