Job summary

Just Eat Takeaway.com is seeking a senior leader to own the recommendations product, including home page ranking and personalization. You will work with data science and engineering to develop scalable ML solutions, drive experiments, and shape the roadmap across product, engineering and commercial teams.

The role focuses on understanding user behaviour at scale, defining success metrics, and guiding the portfolio through rigorous hypothesis testing.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading data-driven product development at scale in ranking/recommendations.
• Strong fluency in ML/data science product development and shaping algorithmic approaches.
• Proven track record building experimentation and measurement frameworks that drive business impact.
• Ability to influence across complex, matrixed organisations and align stakeholders.
• Excellent ability to translate ambiguous, large-scale problems into concrete product strategies.
• Experience mentoring and elevating product thinking in agile, data-science integrated teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the long-term product vision, strategy, and multi-horizon roadmap for recommendation systems.
• Drive deep understanding of user behaviour at scale through quantitative analysis and experiments.
• Partner with data science and engineering leaders to shape algorithmic approaches and technical architecture.
• Lead and scale product discovery, establishing standards for research and opportunity sizing.
• Own KPI framework for recommendations, define north star metrics and targets.
• Design and govern A/B testing strategies to ensure learnings are applied across the portfolio.
• Prioritise investments across a complex backlog and align senior leadership around the roadmap.
