Job description

Redgate Software is seeking a Senior Product Manager to help us achieve our long‑term vision and growth across multiple business areas. You will be responsible for the full product life cycle, from strategy and inception to successful commercialisation and product end‑of‑life. You will work with senior stakeholders to define and execute the product vision and overall direction. This role is based near our Cambridge, UK office with a flexible‑hybrid working model.

Your Work at Redgate Software
  • Definition of strategy for a product or substantial area of a product, including a compelling vision and underlying commercial plans; ensure the strategy is communicated and implemented across the organization.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Product Officer and Group Product Managers to ensure products achieve key objectives and align with company direction; take ownership of initiatives to improve outcomes.
  • Own Redgate's commercial outcomes and customers' success, proactively identifying and executing ways to improve these.
  • Collaborate with other Product Managers to ensure products provide complementary added value within the portfolio.
  • Partner with the product Technical Lead and Designer to deliver a high‑quality, sustainable product roadmap and drive commercial outcomes.
  • Partner with the Product Marketing Manager on positioning, pricing, packaging and go‑to‑market plans.
  • Model customer‑centricity in your team; evaluate impact of product changes on customers (e.g., value, time to value, NPS) and respond with agility.
  • Support portfolio‑level decisions and information flow across the company as part of the product management team.
  • Act as a product evangelist and liaise with marketing, sales, and finance on key opportunities and go‑to‑market plans; drive customer engagement for commercial success.
  • Develop growth opportunities beyond current markets by expanding existing products or creating adjacent products.
  • Stay up to date with market requirements, competitors, and the evolving needs of target customers.
  • Act as a mentor to less experienced Product Managers and advocate for good product management practice.
  • Use Slack, Zoom, Mural, Office 365 for day‑to‑day collaboration; GitHub, Confluence, UserVoice, SurveyMonkey, Salesforce, Zendesk, PowerBI and more as used by product managers.

Qualifications
  • Senior Product Management experience, preferably in B2B software, with high autonomy in tackling complex problems.
  • Customer‑ and commercially‑minded, delivering solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decisions.
  • Proven market research and competitive analysis skills.
  • Excited by solving complex problems and taking calculated risks.
  • Successful track record of developing and implementing inspiring product strategies and roadmaps delivering commercial value.
  • Experience in an agile, user‑driven environment; ability to translate strategy into fast experiments and incremental value.
  • Proven ability to work with senior decision makers and influence effectively.
  • Technical proficiency to influence product direction and negotiate with senior technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate complex needs into clear plans.
  • Strong customer empathy and ability to ask the right questions.
  • Motivated and capable of coaching and mentoring colleagues.

£70,000 - £90,000 dependent upon experience.
