Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is seeking a Senior Process Engineer in Newport to lead the process design of water industry projects from outline to detailed design, with construction/commissioning support.

You will develop process models, mass balances, and control philosophies, while providing technical assurance and driving value through innovative, fit-for-purpose solutions. Mentoring junior staff and engaging with clients are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Experience delivering process design for water/wastewater projects.
• Experience with process design deliverables (mass balances, control philosophies).
• HAZOP experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of process design deliverables such as process models, mass balances, and control philosophies.
• Provide technical assurance of process designs and ensure compliance with client standards.
• Identify opportunities for innovation to meet whole-life cost and net-zero drivers.
• Analyse site performance and identify risks that may affect project delivery and develop mitigations.
