Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join our UK Water team across multiple locations including Manchester, Warrington, Redditch, Birmingham, Derby, Cardiff, Bristol or Exeter.

You will deliver process engineering solutions for clean water and wastewater projects and mentor junior engineers. You will develop calculations, perform hydraulic assessments and lead technical work packages from feasibility through to construction support, collaborating with

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in process engineering within water/wastewater or related sectors.
• Practical experience across water or wastewater treatment processes, process design and/or operational optimisation.
• Experience developing process calculations, mass balances, hydraulic assessments and technical deliverables.
• Experience taking ownership of technical tasks or work packages within multidisciplinary projects.
• Good understanding of UK water industry challenges, standards and best practice.

Responsibilities

• Develop process engineering solutions across clean water and wastewater projects.
• Undertake and review process calculations, mass balances and hydraulic assessments.
• Take ownership of technical work packages and ensure timely delivery.
• Support process design development from feasibility through to construction support.
• Contribute to treatment optimisation, asset improvement and resilience programmes.
• Engage with clients and project teams to provide practical engineering advice.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and contribute to technical development.
• Contribute to bids, frameworks and continuous improvement.
