Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join our UK Water team across multiple locations, including Exeter. You will lead process engineering delivery for clean water and wastewater projects, developing solutions from concept through to implementation and supporting multidisciplinary teams.

You will own technical work packages, perform calculations and analyses, mentor junior staff and contribute to bids and frameworks, while collaborating with clients and specialists to deliver

Qualifications

• The candidate should hold a degree in Chemical or Process Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience delivering process engineering within water/wastewater sectors.
• Proven ability to develop process calculations, mass balances and hydraulic assessments.
• Ability to own technical tasks within multidisciplinary projects.
• Good understanding of UK water industry challenges and standards.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop process engineering solutions across clean water and wastewater projects.
• Undertake and review calculations, mass balances, hydraulic assessments and deliverables.
• Own work packages ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Support design development from feasibility to construction support.
• Contribute to treatment optimisation and asset improvement programmes.
• Support site investigations and performance assessments.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, electrical, environmental and hydraulic specialists.
• Engage with clients to understand requirements and provide practical advice.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and contribute to technical development.
• Contribute to bids, frameworks and continuous improvement.
