Job summary

Realm Recruit is representing a Senior Private Client Solicitor in Birmingham. You will handle high-value Private Wealth matters, advising on trusts, tax planning and estate strategies while collaborating with tax and trust specialists.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with substantial Private Client experience.
• Strong practical experience of trusts and private client tax matters.
• Understanding of inheritance tax, lifetime gifting and estate planning.
• Working knowledge of capital gains tax and income tax considerations.
• Experience advising high-net-worth clients.
• Strong technical ability and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to consider wider tax and succession planning implications.
• Excellent client care and communication skills.
• Collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to the wider firm.
• Ideally 5+ years' PQE.
• Experience within a reputable Private Client practice.
• STEP or CTA qualification, or willingness to work towards one.
• Experience mentoring junior colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Managing a varied caseload of high-value Private Wealth matters.
• Advising on trusts, inheritance tax and estate planning.
• Supporting lifetime gifting and succession planning strategies.
• Considering CGT and income tax implications.
• Working alongside dedicated tax and trust specialists.
• Building lasting relationships with high-net-worth clients.
• Delivering exceptional client service.
• Contributing to shared departmental targets.
• Developing your technical expertise and areas of specialism.
• Mentoring junior colleagues where appropriate.
• Supporting the firm's collaborative culture.
