Job summary
Stantec in the UK seeks a Principal or Senior Principal Hydrogeologist to lead groundwater permitting and quarrying hydrogeology across major energy, infrastructure and regulated projects. Based in Reading, Birmingham or Shrewsbury, you will provide senior technical and client-facing leadership, delivering robust deliverables and shaping strategy.
You will mentor colleagues, manage modelling work (MODFLOW/FEFLOW/Visual MODFLOW), coordinate regulator engagement and support bids.
Qualifications
- Degree in Hydrogeology or related field, MSc/PhD preferred.
- Significant experience in hydrogeology and groundwater assessment.
- Experience leading groundwater permitting work and client engagement.
- Strong communication and business development skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead senior technical and client-facing work across projects.
- Oversee groundwater permitting from strategy to regulator engagement.
- Coordinate modelling work and deliver high-quality technical outputs.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to proposals and bids.
