Job summary

Stantec in Reading, Birmingham or Shrewsbury is seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist to join our Energy and Resources Group. You will lead groundwater investigations, aquifer testing, monitoring and risk assessment, delivering robust hydrogeological services across minerals and resources projects.

Based in Reading, with hybrid/flexible UK working, you will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on water, energy, infrastructure and transport projects, while mentoring junior colleagues and

Qualifications

• Degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Earth Sciences, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Water Resources or related discipline; MSc/PhD welcomed.
• Strong grounding in groundwater studies for environmental impact assessments, quarrying, dewatering and regulatory engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead groundwater investigations, aquifer testing and groundwater monitoring.
• Develop conceptual models and numerical groundwater modelling.
• Prepare hydrogeological assessments and regulatory documentation for permitting and licensing.
• Support junior colleagues and contribute to business development across UK projects.
