Job summary
Stantec is seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist to join the Energy and Resources Group. Based in Reading, Birmingham or Shrewsbury, you will lead groundwater studies across minerals and resources projects, manage regulatory engagement and mentor junior team members.
A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel are essential. You will bring five to ten years in hydrogeology, with consultancy experience, and a strong ability to develop conceptual models, interpret data and deliver robust
Qualifications
- Degree in Hydrogeology or related discipline (MSc/PhD welcome)
- Several years of consultancy experience in hydrogeology
- Strong grounding in groundwater studies related to EIAs, dewatering, aquifer testing, and regulatory engagement
- Ability to develop robust hydrogeological conceptual models and interpret data
- Experience preparing hydrogeological assessments and regulatory documentation
Responsibilities
- Lead groundwater investigations, aquifer testing, groundwater monitoring and risk assessment
- Develop conceptual models and numerical groundwater modelling
- Prepare clear technical reports for clients, regulators and project stakeholders
- Support junior colleagues and contribute to business development
- Travel to UK offices and project sites; hold a full UK driving licence
