Fin is a leading AI Customer Agent company delivering 24/7 support across channels. We are seeking an experienced Principal Engineer to drive strategic initiatives, build back-end and front-end systems, and mentor engineers.

You will collaborate with designers, product managers, researchers, and data analysts to shape technical strategy. You will lead critical projects, contribute to architecture, and ensure scalable, reliable systems while staying close to product goals and customer value.

Qualifications

• Experience building SaaS products used globally.
• Track record of delivering measurable value to customers or users.
• Strong knowledge of programming languages and rapid learning ability.
• Experience designing and operating distributed systems at scale.
• At least 2+ years as the primary technical leader for a team.
• Ability to collaborate with engineers, product, designers and researchers.
• Strategic mindset with ability to align technical work with product goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead definition and execution of strategic initiatives within the engineering org.
• Autonomously drive technical projects and mentor engineers.
• Contribute to technical architecture to scale for many customers.
• Balance agility with scalability and reliability; use feature flags and CD.
• Engage in all phases of software development from ideation to implementation.
• Work with AI-powered developer tools to improve productivity.
• Participate in hiring and career development of engineers.
• Raise technical standards and drive operational excellence.
