Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer to join its Water team. The role focuses on delivering complex electrical solutions from concept through delivery, engaging directly with clients, and shaping technical direction within AMP8 programmes.

This position offers hybrid working, opportunity to influence major UK water infrastructure, and a clear path for technical and leadership progression within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered or Incorporated status with IET or equivalent, or potential to become chartered within 12 months.
• Experience in multidisciplinary project environments within the water sector or transferable background.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Commitment to innovation, sustainability and technical excellence.
• Experience in engineering risk assessment and process safety studies (HAZOP).

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of electrical engineering solutions for water resource projects through all stages.
• Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to deliver integrated and sustainable outcomes.
• Provide technical guidance, support and assurance to engineers and technicians.
• Develop and review reports, calculations, specifications, drawings and design packages.
• Build strong relationships with project teams, clients and stakeholders.
• Contribute to innovation and adoption of new technologies; identify value for clients.
