What you will do:

– Hold and manage care proceedings from the moment a child enters care through to their final hearing and permanency planning, working to achieve the best outcomes for children and families.
– Undertake all aspects of care proceedings, including court statements, reports, assessments, and planning, while collaborating closely with legal teams, carers, and partner agencies.
– Work directly with children and families, ensuring a family-centred and restorative approach to practice is consistently applied.
– Implement permanence plans, including adoption where necessary, ensuring each case benefits from your expert input.
– Use reflective supervision to help shape and support others within the team and contribute to learning and development.
– Participate in Stoke-on-Trent’s initiatives at the forefront of social care, including restorative practices and family hubs which aim to support early intervention and prevention methods.
