Job description

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Senior Practice Nurse to work in an exceptionally well-run surgery, serving a diverse patient population from affluent to deprived communities. The stable GP Partnership has designed clinics to best serve this demographic, with low patient contact numbers, 15-30 minute appointments, and a varied daily workload.

The role offers a balanced mix of clinical practice—traditional Practice Nurse duties and Chronic Conditions management—and mentorship/team development responsibilities. This is a progressive Teaching practice involved with Medical Students, FY2s, and GP Training with ST3 Registrars. The practice is well-connected, within 5-10 minutes' walk from several tube stations.

Salary: £48,750 - £52,650 (FTE) + 6 weeks annual leave + 1 week study leave + NHS Pension

Location: Vauxhall, London

The surgery:

• Teaching Practice for Medical Students and FY2s, GP Training Practice with ST3 Registrars
• Large multidisciplinary team including Prescribing Pharmacists, Physiotherapists, Social Prescribers, and more
• Supportive, well-established team with high staff retention
• Serves an affluent population as well as homeless and refugee groups

Your role:

• Full-time, condensed 4-day week (flexible options possible)
• Workdays flexible but must include Monday and Friday
• Traditional Practice Nurse duties and Chronic Disease Management
• Mentorship and development of nursing team
• Pre-booked, mainly face-to-face appointments
• Own clinical room and dedicated admin time
• Primary Care experience essential; prescribing preferred but not required
