Job summary

Castlefields Surgery is seeking a Lead Practice Nurse to provide clinical leadership and day-to-day coordination of the nursing team while maintaining direct patient care. You will work with the Practice Manager to ensure safe, evidence-based services for the registered population, including those with long-term conditions, elderly or housebound patients.

Qualifications

• NMC registered and current practice nurse registration.
• Experience as a Practice Nurse in primary care.
• Experience in chronic disease management (diabetes, hypertension, respiratory).
• Qualified cervical screening provider.
• Immunisations and vaccination experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the nursing team with clinical leadership.
• Coordinate delivery of nursing services and workload management.
• Oversee induction, supervision and professional development.
• Contribute to performance reviews and governance.
• Promote MDT working and patient safety.
