Job summary

Tempest Jones is representing a major international, employee-owned engineering consultancy in Glasgow, Manchester or London. The senior Power Systems Studies Engineer will act as second in command to the leader of the UK power systems studies capability, with hands-on duties initially and growth into technical leadership.

The role offers a hybrid model (3 days in office, 2 from home) and a strong project pipeline across data centres, renewables and transmission.

Qualifications

• This role requires substantial experience leading dynamic power systems studies.
• Experience in modelling electrical networks and grid code compliance.
• Ability to mentor engineers and build technical process.

Responsibilities

• Lead and review complex power systems studies for data centres and large loads.
• Develop and maintain electrical network models and study methodologies.
• Provide technical leadership across project lifecycles and QA.
• Mentor junior engineers and support team growth.
