Job summary

GE Vernova Electrification Software UK Limited is seeking a Senior Power Systems Engineer to drive research, design and delivery within the WAMPAC Center of Excellence in Edinburgh. You will lead technical work on core WAMS and Wide Area Protection and Control products, collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams to solve complex power system challenges.

Qualifications

MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with focus on power system dynamics, transients, stability and control.
Fast learner with ability to develop knowledge in new areas and conduct robust research.
Strong communication skills, able to explain complex concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

Lead research and design within core WAMPAC products and their interaction with related systems.
Serve as a technical lead on multiple projects, delivering consulting and engineering services to customers.
Provide training, workshops and delivery support, including pre-sales activities and client engagement.
Communicate customer motivations and requirements to internal teams across Power Systems, Software Engineering and Commercial groups.
