GE Vernova Electrification Software UK Limited in Edinburgh seeks a Staff Power Systems Engineer to lead and deliver WAMS and Wide Area Protection & Control solutions. You will drive technical leadership on projects, mentor colleagues, and collaborate with customers to define requirements and execute studies.
You will work across software, control and analytics domains, applying MATLAB/Simulink and other power-system tools to solve complex stability and dynamic problems.

The role is for a Staff Power Systems Engineer in GE Vernova’s Wide Area Monitoring, Protection and Control (WAMPAC) Centre of Excellence in Edinburgh. You will play a leading role in our dynamic Power Systems team within our highly collaborative WAMPAC CoE. As one of our senior engineers, you will be a driver of research and design of solutions within the core WAMPAC products and their interaction with related physical and software systems and operational processes – such as the Energy Management System, stability assessment tools and control systems. You will also serve as a technical lead on projects providing consulting and delivery services to customers, working closely with them to address power system problems, deliver our solutions, and shape the future of WAMPAC products.
