Job summary

AECOM in London is seeking a Senior/Principal Power Systems Engineer to lead grid connection studies and power system analyses for UK and Ireland projects. Hybrid work model with a focus on delivering grid connection and network planning services across multiple life cycles in renewable energy and infrastructure.

The role requires strong knowledge of UK grid codes (G99, G5/5, P28), proficiency in PSCAD/PowerFactory/PSSE, and experience in budget and schedule input for engineering deliverables.

Qualifications

Proven experience in engineering design consultancy or utility networks.
Strong knowledge of UK Grid Code and G99.
Experience with grid connection studies and power system studies.

Responsibilities

Support the delivery of electrical design through power system studies.
Undertake detailed power system/grid code compliance studies using tools such as PSCAD, PowerFactory and PSS/E.
Liaise with OEMs and clients to drive the technical outcomes.
Prepare input for engineering budgets and project schedules.
Support bids and proposals.
