Job summary

Caerphilly County Borough Council is seeking a Senior Policy Officer (Equalities, Welsh Language and Consultation) to lead the council’s strategic approach to inclusive services. You will provide expert advice to senior leaders, oversee the delivery of the Strategic Equality Plan and Welsh Language Strategy, and manage a specialist team and translation service.

The role requires a Level 6 qualification, advanced Welsh, and experience with regulators and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Level 6 qualification essential.
• Advanced Welsh language skills required.
• Experience working with regulators and a network of stakeholders.
• Full UK Category B driving licence and vehicle use for regional/wales-wide meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Council's strategic approach to equalities and Welsh language compliance.
• Provide expert advice to senior leaders.
