Caerphilly County Borough Council is seeking a Senior Policy Officer (Equalities, Welsh Language and Consultation) to lead the council’s strategic approach to inclusive services. The role requires a Level 6 qualification, advanced Welsh, and experience with regulators and stakeholders.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional to lead the Council's strategic approach to equalities and Welsh language compliance. You will provide expert advice to senior leaders, oversee delivery of the Strategic Equality Plan and Welsh Language Strategy, manage a specialist team and translation service, and work with regulators and partners to ensure the Council meets its statutory responsibilities. This is an exciting opportunity to influence corporate priorities and help shape accessible, inclusive and bilingual services for our communities. For the role, we ask that you have:

• A relevant Level 6 qualification
  We are recruiting a Senior Policy Officer (Equalities, Welsh Language and Consultation) at Caerphilly County Borough Council., Knowledge of the legal frameworks that govern the public sector response to equalities and Welsh language issues.
• Advanced Welsh language skills.
• Experience of working with a network of stakeholders and regulators.
• Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to attend regional and Wales wide meetings and represent the Authority., Caerphilly County Borough Council does not receive applications submitted via the StudySmarter website.
