Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer in the United Kingdom. You will own deployment architecture and CI/CD pipelines, containerising workloads and guiding migration to Kubernetes while maintaining platform stability.

You’ll work with Ansible, Docker, Helm, ArgoCD/Flux, and observability tools to ship value safely. Flexible hybrid work and a strong security mindset are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a people-first culture.
• Proven experience with Ansible: roles, inventories, vault, idempotency.
• Comfortable with Docker and Docker Compose in production.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals.
• Strong scripting ability: Bash and Python.
• Experience with GitOps tooling: ArgoCD or Flux.
• Experience with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Alertmanager).
• Ability to think pragmatically and deliver iteratively within existing stack.
• A methodical, security-conscious approach.

Responsibilities

• Own deployment architecture and CI/CD pipelines for Kubernetes platforms.
• Collaborate with TechOps to shape self-service workflows and guardrails.
• Containerise and migrate workloads to Kubernetes starting with non-critical environments.
• Establish deployment standards, namespaces, and secret management.
• Create developer self-service documentation and runbooks.
• Setup application observability and alerting within namespaces.
