Job summary

Ocho is partnering with a Stockport client to recruit an experienced Senior Platform Engineer for a 12-month contract. The role focuses on moving on-prem workloads to Google Cloud Platform, with strong Kubernetes and Linux expertise.

You will join a small senior team, design and deliver cloud and platform infrastructure, and hand over operations to TechOps after project completion, with initial 2–3 days onsite and potential for flexibility.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on GCP experience with Kubernetes and Linux.
• Project-focused engineering role designing and delivering infrastructure.
• Senior-level engineering capable of owning complex technical problems.

Responsibilities

• Migrate on-prem infrastructure and workloads to Google Cloud Platform.
• Design, build and improve cloud and platform infrastructure.
• Work with Kubernetes across containerised environments.
• Provision and manage infrastructure using Terraform and IaC.
• Document designs and handover to TechOps after projects.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and stakeholders to drive architecture.
