Job summary

SR2 | Socially Responsible Recruitment, in London, is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to lead the build of a modern cloud platform on GCP with Kubernetes at its core. This is a hybrid role with two days per week in the London office.

You will own infrastructure from design to production, drive IaC initiatives with Terraform, and raise the bar for CI/CD, observability and reliability across a data-intensive product used in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Deep, production-level GCP experience.
• Strong Kubernetes knowledge, including building Kubernetes platforms or clusters from the ground up.
• Experience building end-to-end platform or large infrastructure environments.
• Solid foundations in software engineering, preferably in Python or Go.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve a modern cloud platform for a rapidly scaling product.
• Own infrastructure from initial design through production.
• Design and build Kubernetes environments from scratch.
• Be a key source of GCP expertise within the engineering team.
• Automate infrastructure using Terraform and modern IaC practices.
• Improve CI/CD, deployment automation, observability, reliability and developer experience.
