Job summary

AND Digital Limited is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to lead the strategy, design, and delivery of a scalable AWS cloud platform. You will drive architecture, automation, and self‑service capabilities to empower engineering teams and improve developer experience.

You will operate across architecture, reliability, automation, and developer enablement, guiding technical direction while remaining hands‑on in platform delivery. This role offers a blended working model across locations in the UK.

Qualifications

• Designing and operating internal developer platforms at scale.
• Building reusable platform services, tooling, and self‑service capabilities.
• Applying platform‑as‑a‑product principles to improve developer experience.
• Establishing standards and paved‑road approaches for autonomous teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap for an AWS cloud platform.
• Design and build scalable, secure, resilient, and reusable platform capabilities.
• Develop self‑service tooling and services that abstract operational complexity and improve developer productivity.
• Drive automation across infrastructure, application delivery, operational processes, and platform management.
• Establish and promote platform standards, engineering patterns, and best practices across engineering teams.
• Improve reliability, scalability, performance, observability, and operational efficiency of the platform.
• Identify opportunities to reduce friction, eliminate repetitive work, and accelerate software delivery.
• Lead complex platform initiatives from discovery to implementation and adoption.
• Influence engineering teams and senior stakeholders on platform strategy and technology choices.
• Mentor engineers and promote platform engineering practices.
