Job summary

AND Digital Limited is seeking a Principal Platform Engineer (12 Month FTC) to shape and scale a cloud platform, delivering self-service capabilities and robust automation across teams. You will lead architecture, set standards, and drive reliability while working with multiple engineering squads.

The role combines hands-on design with strategic direction, emphasising platform-as-a-product principles to improve developer productivity, security, and governance across projects.

Qualifications

• Experience designing internal developer platforms at scale.
• Building reusable platform services, tooling, and self-service capabilities.
• Applying platform-as-a-product principles to improve developer experience.
• Establishing standards and paved-road approaches for autonomous engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap for an AWS cloud platform.
• Design and build scalable, secure, resilient, and reusable platform capabilities.
• Develop self-service tooling and services that abstract operational complexity.
• Drive automation across infrastructure, delivery, operations, and platform management.
• Establish and promote platform standards and best practices across engineering teams.
• Lead technically complex platform initiatives from discovery through implementation and adoption.
• Influence engineering teams and stakeholders on platform strategy and technology choices.
