Job summary

Raytheon UK is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer in Manchester for a permanent, full‑time role with hybrid work (minimum 3 days onsite).

The role involves deploying applications to cloud or on‑prem environments, building development tools and infrastructure, and driving automation and secure release processes. Candidates should have Agile/DevOps experience and cloud/infrastructure as code expertise, with SC and eDV clearance being desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience working in an Agile/SCRUM/DevOps delivery model.
• Cloud technologies experience (AWS/Azure).
• Infrastructure as code tooling experience (Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Ansible).
• Experience building/deploying large-scale applications in CI/CD pipelines.
• Container platforms and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience with automation and integration tools (Jenkins, Concourse CI or cloud equivalents).
• Scripting and source control experience.

• Deploy applications and software to cloud or on‑premise environments for various business areas.
• Build and set up development tools and infrastructure.
• Understand the needs of project stakeholders.
• Automate and improve development and release processes.
• Ensure that systems are safe and secure against cyber‑security threats.
• Identify technical problems and develop software updates and solutions.
• Work with other engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended.

Qualifications
