Job summary

Carrrington West are assisting their local authority client based in the East of England in their search for a Principal Planning Enforcement Officer to join their town planning department on an initial 3-6 month contract.

The role requires an experienced enforcement professional with local authority background, capable of managing a backlog of enforcement cases, conducting investigations and site visits, and preparing notices.

Qualifications

• Must have worked as an Enforcement Officer in a local authority planning department.
• Strong knowledge of planning legislation and policies.
• Experience managing enforcement caseloads and investigations.

Responsibilities

• Manage a backlog of enforcement cases and new cases.
• Investigate alleged planning breaches and conduct site visits.
• Prepare notices and assist with team advice.
