Job summary

Carrington West is seeking an experienced Planning Enforcement Officer to support a busy Local Planning Authority in the South East Coastal Region on an interim basis. The role involves investigating breaches of planning control, conducting site visits, gathering evidence, and progressing enforcement cases to resolution.

The role requires independent workload management, strong communication with applicants, agents, the public and stakeholders, and a full UK driving licence for regular site

Qualifications

• Experience in Local Authority Planning Enforcement.
• Experience investigating breaches of planning control.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently and progress enforcement matters.
• Strong communication with applicants, agents, members of the public and internal stakeholders.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for site visits.

Responsibilities

• Investigate alleged breaches of planning control.
• Carry out site visits and gather evidence.
• Liaise with applicants, agents, and members of the public.
• Progress enforcement cases through to resolution.
• Provide professional planning enforcement advice within a Local Authority environment.
