Job summary

Carrington West are assisting their local authority client based in the East of England in their search for a Principal Planning Enforcement Officer to join their town planning department. This will be offered on an initial 3-6 month contract with the potential to extend.

We are looking for an experienced Enforcement professional with recent local authority experience and the ability to manage a backlog of enforcement cases as well as new cases.

Qualifications

• Experience in enforcement with local authorities is essential.
• Ability to manage a backlog of enforcement cases and handle new caseloads.
• Familiarity with planning legislation and policy frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of alleged planning breaches from investigation to resolution.
• Conduct site visits on a weekly basis and coordinate with the team for advice.
• Prepare notices and negotiate outcomes with relevant parties.
