Job description

Overview

Senior Piping Designer: We are looking to support our client based in Greater Manchester (South) with a requirement for a Senior Piping Designer on a contract basis.

This will be to start in late June and run for 6 months although further work may be possible. It is anticipated that this role will fall outside of IR35 and Limited Company contractors can operate. Rates are negotiable to prior level of experience but anticipated to be around £45 per hour gross.

Responsibilities

• The client works in the process industry - oil and gas / pharmaceutical sector and are looking for a senior level candidate capable of working within a fast paced environment and similar projects.
• Be part of a design team consisting of around 4 other designers and utilise Plant3D and AutoCAD software.
• Work on small bore piping work, stainless steel, working around tight spaces and with Tri Clamp Fittings.
• Use SIkla supports, steelwork, layouts etc, no hot / pipe stressed lines.
• Perform a good amount of initial indicative proposal work which would then be worked up by others in the team.

Contract/Work Environment

This will be largely office based work requiring 5 days per week in the office - certainly for the initial weeks. However some capacity for flexibility on hybrid working may become available after an initial period. Candidates living locally or within a commutable distance will be highly preferable.

Eligibility

As this is a UK based, temporary contract role - existing eligibility to work in the UK via nationality, residency, or existing work permit will be necessary for any applications.
