Rolls-Royce SMR is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Pipework to lead manufacturing engineering for large pipework assemblies, collaborating with a modules-focused engineer. The role is based in the UK with hybrid working from Derby, Manchester or Warrington and regular supplier travel.

• Manufacturing engineering experience within complex engineered products.
• Process development and industrialisation experience.
• Design for Manufacture experience.
• Supplier development or supplier technical support experience.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop the manufacturing methods, processes and production systems required to manufacture major nuclear components and pipework within the future factory environment.
• Define how complex pipework systems will be manufactured, ensuring designs are manufacturable and robust production methods are established before operations commence.
• Produce manufacturing documentation, standards and work instructions.
• Support supplier selection, development and technical readiness activities.
