Job summary

Rolls-Royce SMR Limited is hiring a Manufacturing Development Engineer to support suppliers in establishing robust manufacturing processes and to validate repeatable manufacturing methods. The role involves assessing supplier capabilities, coaching teams, and driving process development to meet future programme requirements.

You will report to the Senior Supply Chain Development Manager and may travel to supplier sites. Hybrid work is standard with offices in Derby, Manchester or Warrington.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing Engineer background and relevant experience in manufacturing/process engineering environments.
• Experience in process improvement and optimization.
• Training or coaching experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support suppliers in establishing manufacturing processes.
• Verify repeatability and robustness of manufacturing operations.
• Develop supplier capability to manufacture future programme requirements.
• Assess supplier manufacturing capability.
• Support manufacturing process development.
• Train suppliers on best practice.
• Validate repeatable manufacturing processes.
