Job summary

Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a proactive pharmacy technician to lead the procurement, distribution and administration teams within our pharmacy department.

You will oversee stock control across the Trust, supervise procurement systems such as BD Rowa, Wellsky and Powergate, and support regional collaboration while developing leadership and operational management skills.

Qualifications

• Registered pharmacy technician with experience in hospital stock control and procurement.
• Ability to lead and develop multiple teams within a pharmacy department.
• Strong communication skills and proactive process review/ redesign.

Responsibilities

• Lead on purchasing, invoicing and distribution of medicines and related products.
• Oversee stock management across the pharmacy department and Trust; maintain regulatory docs.
• Manage pharmacy administration, procurement and stores teams.
