Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a proactive pharmacy technician to lead the procurement, distribution and administration teams within our pharmacy department.
You will oversee stock control across the Trust, supervise procurement systems such as BD Rowa, Wellsky and Powergate, and support regional collaboration while developing leadership and operational management skills.

The role exists to provide oversight of the purchasing and efficient distribution of medicines across the Trust. This includes joint responsibility for overall stock control and management of teams involved in procurement, distribution and invoicing. You will also have the opportunity to work alongside procurement colleagues across the Yorkshire and Humber region.

This post will suit you if you are a registered pharmacy technician with experience of managing stock control systems within a hospital pharmacy environment. You should be an excellent communicator with the ability to motivate and lead a team, whilst being proactive in reviewing and redesigning processes where needed. A good understanding of the various digital systems used in the management of procurement and stock control, both at a Trust and Regional level, would be an advantage.
