Job summary

University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is seeking a Senior Assistant Technical Officer – Stores and Distribution in County Hospital, Stafford. You will oversee the Stores and Distribution area, coordinating staff and ensuring timely supply of medicines to wards and external customers.

The role requires experience in a pharmacy environment, ability to work unsupervised, and strong IT and communication skills, with weekend and bank holiday working included in a 37.5 hour week.

Qualifications

• 4 GCSEs including Maths and English at grade 4+ (or equivalent).
• Experience in a pharmacy environment.
• Able to lead and supervise the team and coordinate work rotas.
• Good IT skills and ability to work unsupervised and to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support the supply of medicines; liaise with wards, departments and external customers.
• Coordinate and support the pharmacy staff in processing ward orders and stock requisitions.
• Provide leadership as part of the Pharmacy team and assist in training staff.
