Job summary

Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a proactive Lead Pharmacy Technician for Procurement & IT to oversee purchasing, invoicing and distribution of medicines across the Trust. You will mentor stock control and administration teams and work with regional procurement colleagues.

The role requires a registered pharmacy technician with hospital experience in stock control systems and strong leadership, communication and process-improvement skills. DBS/UK registration required.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospital pharmacy procurement, stock control and administration.
• Familiarity with pharmacy IT systems and supplier management.
• Evidence of CPD and ongoing training is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead on purchasing, invoicing and distribution of medicines across the Trust.
• Manage stock control and supervise pharmacy stores and procurement teams.
• Act as superuser for BD Rowa, Wellsky and Powergate systems and train staff.
• Support cost improvement initiatives and regional procurement activities.
