Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Pharmacy Purchasing and Distribution Manager based at Royal Brompton Hospital, with flexibility across GSTT sites. The post requires experience in purchasing and readiness to take a senior role within the pharmacy team.

The successful candidate will manage the purchasing office, oversee stock levels and invoicing, and deputise for the lead. A collaborative approach with pharmacists and ward staff is essential to maintain efficient medicines

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing within a pharmacy or healthcare setting.
• Ability to lead senior purchasing initiatives and coordinate across sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage operational running of the Pharmacy Purchasing Office and allocate staff to workload.
• Oversee ordering and invoicing of pharmaceuticals, medical and special gases per Trust procedures.
• Deputise for the Pharmacy Purchasing and Distribution Lead.
• Ensure stock management and correct storage/rotation on assigned wards.
• Maintain pharmacy computer price/contracts files and resolve invoicing queries.
• Support Harefield pharmacy distribution team and ensure timely queries resolution.
• Promote infection prevention and control as part of service delivery.
