Job summary

Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust in Leicester invites applications for a registered Pharmacy Technician (Band 5) to join the Pharmacy team on a permanent, full-time basis (37.5 hours per week). You will contribute to medicines management and patient care within a busy, multidisciplinary NHS environment.

The role requires GPhC registration and hospital experience, with flexibility for a rotating schedule. The department supports development and values collaborative, patient-centred care.

Qualifications

• Registered with the GPhC and hospital experience.
• Organised, proactive and patient-centred care.
• Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Dispense inpatient, outpatient, clinical trial, and controlled drug prescriptions per SOPs.
• Use pharmacy systems to label, stock, receipts and transfers.
• Support medicines management: reconciliation, patient drug histories, assess medicines suitability.
• Participate in the clozapine service.
• Assist in accuracy checking in a technician-led dispensary.
• Support patient counselling and medicines adherence.
• Assist wards with the Trust’s ePrescribing system.
• Improve dispensary workflow and resolve queries.
