Job summary

Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a Band 4 Pharmacy Technician to join the CRHT team. Based at the Bradgate Unit with community outreach, the role focuses on safe medicines management and professional accountability.

You will work Monday to Friday with occasional weekends/bank holidays, supported by the Lead Pharmacist, and must be registered with the GPhC. The post offers development opportunities and flexible working patterns.

Qualifications

• BTEC in Pharmacy Science or equivalent and Accredited Checking Technician status.
• Registered with the GPhC.
• Good computer skills and accurate, organized, proactive.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Flexibility to cover weekends/bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Identify new patients accepted by CRHT team, contact them, GPs and other providers to collate an accurate medication history.
• Identify potential pharmaceutical issues arising during care, discharge planning and work with MDT to resolve.
• Work as part of the MDT and be the point of contact for staff when managing medication needs.
• Liaise with community pharmacies and GPs regarding CRT electronic prescription issues.
• Manage notification of medication supply issues within CRT.
• Escalate complex clinical queries to the pharmacist.
