Job summary

Great Ormond Street Hospital in London is seeking a motivated pharmacy service assistant to support dispensing and patient delivery.

You will welcome patients at the hatch, process prescriptions, and help keep the dispensary organised, with duties across wards and home deliveries.

Experience in customer service and a willingness to learn EPIC Systems are desirable; NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers at the hatch and process receipt of prescriptions.
• Rotate and put away stock ensuring the Dispensary remains tidy and is a safe working environment.
• The post holder will be trained in the use of the epic system to receipt prescriptions.
• To send medicines to patients/carers home address.
• The post holder will be required to provide un-planned cover for the ward topping up service.
• To assist with Dispensing activities.
• Deliver medicines to the wards when required.
